How do I turn on my eSIM?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

After installing your eSIM, you’ll need to enable it in your phone’s settings so it can connect to a local network. When everything is set up correctly, you should see signal bars and 4G/5G at the top of your phone. If you’ve just landed in a new country, it may take 2 minutes for the eSIM to connect.

For iOS (iPhone):

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap Mobile Service (or Cellular)

  3. Under SIMs, select Yonder – 1Global
(your phone might label it Travel or Secondary)

  4. Toggle Turn On This LineON

  5. Toggle Data RoamingON

  6. Go back to the Mobile Service screen

  7. Tap Mobile Data

  8. Select Yonder – 1Global

For Android:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap Connections or Network & Internet

  3. Tap SIM Manager or SIMs

  4. Select Yonder

  5. Toggle Use SIMON

  6. Toggle Mobile DataON

  7. Toggle Data RoamingON

If you see no signal bars

Sometimes when you land in a new country, the phone just needs a quick reset to find a local network. Try this:

  1. Turn Airplane Mode ON

  2. Wait 15 seconds

  3. Turn Airplane Mode OFF

Your phone will search for a local network again and usually connects within a couple of minutes.
