Yes, gambling transactions can be processed on your Yonder debit card. However, whether we can process a refund depends on how the gambling company sends the money back.
When we can process a refund
If the gambling company refunds you by bank transfer (using a sort code and account number), we're able to receive and process that refund into your account as normal.
When we can't process a refund
Some gambling companies will only return funds the same way they took the deposit, for example, reversing a payment made via Apple Pay or Google Pay. Unfortunately, we're unable to process refunds sent this way.
This most commonly happens when a customer has used Apple Pay or Google Pay to deposit with a gambling company.
What can I do about it?
If you're affected by this, we'd encourage you to contact the gambling company directly. They'll be able to advise on refunding you by bank transfer instead, which we can then process on our end.
We're not able to change this outcome ourselves, as it depends on how the gambling company chooses to send the funds.
