This article will provide you with the important information to know before downgrading your account.

How do I downgrade my membership?

Contact Member Support

Contact our Member Support Team to review whether you are eligible for a downgrade on your account.

You can do this by tapping on the live chat messenger icon in the bottom right-hand corner of this page or, in the app (Go to the Home tap and click on the person shaped icon. The select, Chat with a Human).

What happens when I downgrade?

When you have confirmed that you would like to downgrade then this is effective immediately. You will not have access to the Full Member benefits once you have downgraded.

Credit Limit

When you downgrade your account it is important to note that your credit limit maybe reviewed. *

This is as per our Credit Agreement (Section 3. What is the credit limit?

πŸ’‘ Your credit limit is determined based on (a) the Yonder membership you have chosen and (b) our assessment of your financial circumstances.

*Currently we do not perform a credit search if you downgrade.

Metal Card

If you ordered a metal card during your Full Membership then this will be deactivated if you are to downgrade. If you would like a physical card then you can order a plastic one in the app after your account has been downgraded.

If you ordered a metal card within the last 3-months of you wanting to downgrade your account then you will be charged a fee for this.

This is as per our Credit Agreement (Section 9: Fees and charges Paragraph 9.2: Card Fees). πŸ‘‡

πŸ’‘ ...we will charge you Β£35 for the cost of the card and delivery if you cancel your Full Membership within 3 months.

Membership Fee

When you downgrade there will be no membership fee. However, please note that we do not refund membership fees pro rata. If you want to avoid being charged the membership fee, you will need to contact Member Support before your next Fee Charge.


Benefits

When you downgrade to the Free Membership you will loose access to your Full Membership benefits immediately. This also includes Travel Insurance and the higher acceptable use limit (e.g. Being able to redeem more points on experiences).

If you have downgraded with us in the past but changed your mind and would like to upgrade then contact the Member Support Team.

Physical Card

If you already have a plastic card from the Free Membership then you can keep this. However, if you would prefer to order the metal card then you can do this in the app under the Membership tab. If you are unable to do this then contact Member Support.

Membership Fee

When upgrading your account to the Full Membership you won't be charged until the following month.

You can choose to pay a monthly membership fee of Β£15.00 or, an annual membership fee of Β£160.00.

There is no cancellation fee (excl Card Fee) to opt out of the Full Membership by downgrading your account. Member's can choose to downgrade when the like subject to T&C's in our Credit Agreement.
