Below are a few key pieces of information you need to know about before making a claim. Make sure to review your insurance document in full as we’ve only picked out the top few things.

• Your claim must be within 30 days of the issue happening

  • You’re not travelling against the advice of a medical practitioner (or would be travelling against the advice of one had you sought their advice)

  • You’re not claiming about a pre-existing medical condition (see page 5)

  • You’re not claiming about a pre-existing medical condition (see page 5)

  • You’re not claiming medical expenses and emergency assistance for any diagnosed symptoms that need attention or investigation where you’re waiting for consultations or results because the underlying cause has not yet been found

See definition of Pre-existing Health Condition on page 5 of your insurance document.

Travel and Accommodation

  • You’re only considered for a claim for travel and accommodation that were paid with your Yonder card

  • Your trip begins and ends in the UK within 60 consecutive days and the duration of the dates you’ve travelled within any 12 month period is a maximum of 180 travel days

  • You understand that on any trip that’s longer than the maximum duration, the benefits will not apply to any part of that trip

  • If you booked travel using a voucher or another card and paid for your accommodation using your Yonder card (or vice versa), you understand that Lloyd’s will only consider your claim for what was paid with your Yonder card

  • If you booked a one way or one-way open ticket, you must’ve booked your inbound ticket before your trip began to be considered for a claim

See pages 13-14 of your insurance document.

Winter Sports

  • You’re not skiing against local authoritative warning or advice

  • No off-piste skiing or snowboarding where an avalanche warning of more than size 2 is in place

  • No ski stunting, free-styling skiing, ice hockey, heli-skiing, ski acrobatics, ski flying, ski jumping, ski mountaineering, snowcat skiing, snow carting or the user of bobsleighs, luges or skeletons
