This is a brief overview of what to do. See pages 24-27 of your insurance document for more details.

Disclaimer: Any treatments that are done in a private facility aren’t covered unless pre-discussed with Lloyd’s.

Serious illness or accident

If you’ve suffered a serious illness or accident which may lead you to go to the hospital whether, on a trip abroad, you must first call International SOS 24/7 emergency line or as soon as you can on +44 (0) 208 762 8061. They’ll be able to let you know what to do next.

Outpatient treatment

If you’re not admitted into the hospital or you have a minor illness or injury (excluding fractures), you should pay for the treatment yourself and make a claim with Qover when you return back from your trip.

Dental help

Emergency dental treatment for the immediate relief of pain and/or emergency repairs to dentures or artificial teeth solely to relieve distress in eating is covered.
