When will my travel insurance kick in?

Note: Travel insurance is a benefit for full members only.

Updated this week

Travel insurance is provided as an automatic benefit for all full Yonder members.

In order for coverage to kick in for a specific trip, you will need to at least part-charge your trip with your Yonder card.

This means paying on Yonder for at least one of the following in full:

  • Transport (e.g., flights, Eurostar train, ferry)

  • Accommodation (e.g., hotel or Airbnb deposit)

  • Car rental (e.g. rental deposit)

What doesn’t count as a part-charge:

  • City tax / tourist tax

  • Plane seat selection or meal add-on

  • Car rental extras (e.g., additional driver charges)

  • Visa fees

Important: Cancellation cover only applies to unused travel, accommodation and activities paid for with your Yonder card.

Please check the T&Cs for the full list of eligibility and restrictions on your coverage.
