How purchase protection works

Purchase protection & Section 75

Updated over 9 months ago

Some of your purchases are covered by UK law often referred to as 'Section 75'. It was introduced to protect you against purchases that don't turn out as you expected.

How you're covered

You may be due a refund if the goods or services you bought are:

  • Faulty

  • Not fulfilled

  • Not as described

When you're covered

A few things to bear in mind when claiming:

  • Each individual good or service you're claiming for must have cost between £100 and £30,000

  • You must have made at least part of your purchase on Yonder

  • The purchase must have been made directly from the provider, and not through a third party.

A good example of this is when buying concert tickets. If you buy the tickets directly from the venue, and each ticket cost over £100, then you may be covered. If you buy the tickets through a ticket agency, or each ticket cost less than £100, then you may not.

Making a claim

Before you make a claim, try speaking with the seller directly to try and resolve the issue. It'll probably be a lot quicker this way.
