How do I make a manual payment towards my balance?

This article describes how to make a manual bank transfer of funds to pay down your balance outside of your auto pay schedule.

What is a manual payment?

A manual payment is a method of paying down your current balance out side of using our auto pay feature.

For example, if you do not currently have a direct debit set up every month to pay your balance then you would need to manually transfer money from your bank account to your Yonder account to pay your bill or reduce your balance.

When can I make a manual payment?

Members can make a manual payment whenever they like. If you make a manual payment whilst in your billing cycle this will count as an "early repayment". However, if you make a payment after your billing cycle has ended and you have been provided with your bill then this will count towards your final bill.

For example, if your billing cycle runs from the 1st August to the 31st August and you make a payment to pay down your balance on the 19th August, this counts as an early repayment.

However, when your August billing cycle ends on the 31st August. Your final bill for the month will be provided to you and you will have until your Due Date of the 15th September to pay your bill. If you make a payment on the 5th September then this will count towards your final bill.

How do I make a manual payment?

To make a payment:

  • Tap on, "Upcoming Bill" under the Home tab in the Yonder app,

  • Select, "Pay" and then,

  • Use the slider or enter your custom amount,

  • Tap continue and select your bank from the list,

  • Tap 'Pay with your bank' and approve in your mobile banking app.

We should then receive the payment in a few minutes but it could take up to 2 hours.

I cannot see my bank on the list. What do I do?

If you don't see your bank, scroll to the bottom of the list to "Don't see your bank?" and you will see our bank details.

Go into your banking app to make a bank transfer to the bank details we provide you with in the app.

☝️ Be sure to tap 'I've made the transfer' as it notifies us that we're expecting a payment from you.

When you have made a bank transfer, this will normally take 1-2 working days to clear into your account. If you find this has not happened, contact Member Support.

Can I make a payment from a different bank account?

No. You must make a payment from a bank account under the same name as your Yonder account. This includes business accounts.
