How do security holds and deposits work?

Some merchants, like hotels, car rentals may place a security hold or deposit on your Yonder card. Here’s what you need to know:

  • These holds can remain on your account for up to 30 days before they’re automatically released.

  • They are pending transactions, so they won’t appear on your billing statement unless the merchant finalises the charge.

  • You’ll usually receive a notification once the hold is lifted.

What if 30 days have passed?

  • If the transaction still shows as pending, please reach out to us through the app so we can look into it.

  • If the transaction has been fully charged and you believe this is incorrect, you should contact the merchant first directly to resolve it.
